About Chi Iota Pi Sorority, Inc.

Chi Iota Pi Sorority, Inc. was founded on November 23, 2004, at the University of Maryland, College Park. This captivating multicultural sisterhood was founded by eight courageous women ready for a change on their campus and on a worldwide level. Although founding this grand sisterhood was a difficult task, these women knew it would only be the beginning of a revolution.

Alpha Chapter: University of Maryland, College Park*

Beta Colony: University of Connecticut

Gamma Chapter: Trinity University (Washington, DC)

Delta Colony: University System of Georgia

Epsilon Colony: Salisbury University

Pi Alpha Chapter: Alumnae/Graduate Chapter

Purpose & Mission Statement:

The purpose of Chi Iota Pi is to establish a multifaceted sisterhood based on Compassion, Integrity and Perseverance. Chi Iota Pi will accomplish this through community service, educational and social programming that aims at empowering minorities, women, and children. It is the goal of Chi Iota Pi to strive for finer womanhood and foster the growth of diverse women of leadership to catalyze change in society.
